It’s a tricky thing, to try to maintain balance in one’s schedule and inner life — and it will become even more tricky in these next two months, with the arrival of the holidays and too many things on our “to do” lists.
In our quest to stay as balanced as possible during this busy time, we should remember to check in with ourselves before committing to another activity, and see what our inner guidance tells us about that choice. There will be times when a “no” is the most balanced choice — but when the activity in question offers something we deeply love, adding it to our schedule may be the most nurturing choice. By bringing God into all of our choices and listening within, we can rest assured we will always make the best choice.
