If you are looking for a beautiful light-filled space to hold a wedding, meeting, conference, art workshop, yoga or meditation class, or any other type of event, please consider Unity Spiritual Center!Our Sanctuary, with a seating capacity of 144, is ideal for weddings and memorials (our minister can officiate for an additional fee, if needed), meetings and concerts. It has tile floors, high ceilings, and a stained-glass window that can be covered, if desired. The room has movable seats that can be customized for any seating arrangement. The Sanctuary is also equipped with two large flat-screen monitors at the front of the room, and a sound system that will accommodate any sound requirements needed. Various lighting options are also available. Please ask.
The Fillmore Room can be used for receptions, workshops, meetings or classes. Facing Ocean Avenue, this room gets lots of natural light. Lighting options allow the ambiance to be adjusted to any atmosphere desired for any event. The space opens onto a garden with benches that can be used as a break area or break-out area when weather is nice. To facilitate events serving food, the room is connected to a fully operational kitchen. For business events, the room is equipped with a screen for A/V presentations. It also has a coffee machine for use, separate from the kitchen area.
A kitchen, immediately adjacent to the Fillmore Room, is available for use with the rental of the Sanctuary or the Fillmore Room. The stove has an electric oven with four burners. The kitchen also contains a microwave, filtered water and a medium-sized refrigerator.
In addition to room-specific features as detailed here, we also have basic presentation equipment that can be moved to any room desired for an additional fee.
There is plenty of metered street parking available, as well as unmetered parking along 19th Avenue and the residential neighborhood next to the church. Up to three cars can be parked in the church driveway, next to the back door.
Minimum rental two hours.
Fillmore Room: $70/hour
Security deposit required for groups of 20 or more: $300. Fully refundable.
Sound equipment/Sound Technician available, if needed: Fee to be determined.
Staff person to open up and lock up available (required for large or evening events): additional $75.
